Sam Harris is the author of The End of Faith and Letter to a Christian Nation , two books that appeared on the New York Times bestseller list . His first book, The End of Faith , won the 2005 PEN Prize for Literature in the non-fiction category.
His writings have been translated into more than fifteen languages and his work has been the subject of articles in various newspapers and periodicals including Newsweek , Time , The New York Times , Scientific American , Nature , Rolling Stone and many others. Sam Harris has written for Newsweek , The New York Times , the Los Angeles Times , The Times (London), The Boston Globe , The Atlantic , The Annals of Neurology and other publications.
Harris is also co-founder and CEO of Project Reason, a nonprofit foundation whose mission is to promote scientific knowledge and secular values in society. He holds a degree in philosophy from Stanford University and a doctorate in neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles.
