Anti-spam policy
Under Canada's new Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) which came into effect on July 1, 2014, a sender must obtain the recipient's consent before sending an initially unsolicited electronic commercial message. Cardinal Publishing Company complies with the provisions of CASL and only sends electronic messages to contacts who have expressly or tacitly consented to the receipt of such messages.
Thus, in accordance with the provisions of CASL and its inherent regulations:
- We retain the required evidence of consent. Subject to the exceptions provided for by CASL, we ensure that we have the tacit or express consent of the recipient;
- Cardinal's identity and contact details will be displayed in messages sent;
- We offer recipients the opportunity to unsubscribe from receiving electronic messages. In order to respect the wishes of our contacts, any withdrawal request will be processed within a short time following receipt of the unsubscription.
If you have any questions about this policy, our practices relating to the handling of electronic messages or any concerns, please contact us by email at info@editions-cardinal.ca .
