Guillaume Moreau is a professor in the Department of Wood and Forest Sciences at Laval University. Nicolas Roulx teaches history and geography in secondary school.
Accomplices in adventures and long-time friends, they founded the AKOR expeditions in 2016: a collective of adventurers who carry out expeditions in isolated regions, marked by excess and creativity. Their crossing of Canada was named “Expedition of the Year” in 2021 by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and was ranked 3rd expedition having the most impact on the world the same year by Explorers Web magazine.
Nicolas and Guillaume were ambassadors for the Quebec tour of the Banff Mountain Film Festival in 2022 and were named Fellows by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. Their conferences have reached more than 20,000 people in Canada.
